🌾 Morning Stillness: Meeting God Before the Day Begins
Scripture:
“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10
Finding Quiet in a Busy World
Before the rooster crows or the goats call, before the coffee even brews—I try to meet with God.
Some mornings it’s just me, the Word, and the quiet hum of creation. Other days, it’s a battle between distractions and devotion. But I’ve learned that even a whispered prayer in barn boots is enough to shift my whole day.
In the stillness, God speaks.
He doesn’t need perfection. He doesn’t require a spotless home or a completed to-do list. He only asks that we come—as we are, where we are.
Sometimes I write down what He’s showing me.
Other times, I simply sit and let His Word settle in like dew on pasture grass.
This space—this tiny margin before the chaos—has become sacred. It grounds me. It reminds me that I’m not just a wife or a homesteader or a busy woman. I’m His.
A Simple Morning Routine (Faith + Farm):
Light a candle or open a window to hear the birds
Read a short Scripture passage (Psalms or the Gospels are great places to start)
Jot down a reflection in my Scripture Journal Printable (add your download link here)
Say a short prayer: “Lord, help me carry Your peace into this day.”
You don’t need an hour. Just a moment of stillness and surrender.
What About You?
Do you have a favorite time or place to meet with God?
Even five minutes of stillness can change your whole day.
Today’s Prayer
Lord, help me choose stillness in the small spaces.
Meet me in the ordinary.
Remind me that Your presence is my peace.all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
